Normal List via E-Mail
- To subscribe simply e-mail to champ-l-request@sysabend.org, and enter subscribe as the Body the email message.
Digest List via E-Mail
- To subscribe simply e-mail to champ-l-digest-request@sysabend.org, and enter subscribe as the Body the email message.
Either format via Web
Once you have a subscriber to the list, to post to the list simply address your e-mail to champ-l@sysabend.org.
- Visit the Champ-l info page.
- Fill out the form asking for your e-mail address and a password.
- Select whether you want digests or not.
- Hit the [Subscribe] button
Via E-Mail
- To unsubscribe simply e-mail to champ-l-request@sysabend.org, and enter unsubscribe as the Body the email message.
Via Web
- Visit the Champ-l info page.
- Enter your e-mail address into the form field at the bottom of the page.
- Hit the [Edit Options] button
- Enter you password into the [Password Field] in hte upper left section of page.
- Hit the [Unsubscribe] button.
Via E-Mail
- Send a e-mail to champ-l-request@sysabend.org, with the set command as the body of the message. The syntax for the set command is as follows:
set <option> <on|off> <password> Turn on or off list options. Valid options are:
- ack: Turn this on to receive acknowlegement mail when you send mail to the list.
- digest: Receive mail from the list bundled together instead of one post at a time.
- plain: Get plain-text, not MIME-compliant, digests (only if digest is set)
- nomail: Stop delivering mail. Useful if you plan on taking a short vacation.
- norcv: Turn this on to NOT receive posts you send to the list. Does not work if digest is set.
- hide: Conceals your address when people look at who is on this list.
- options Show the current values of your list options.
- password <oldpassword> <newpassword> Change your list password.
Via Web
- Visit the Champ-l info page.
- Enter your e-mail address into the form field at the bottom of the page.
- Hit the [Edit Options] button
- Scroll down to the "Your Champ-l Subscription Options" section or the "Change Your Password" section.
- Makes changes as appropriate.
- For "Options" section, enter password in field and hit the [Submit My Changes] button
- For the "Change Your Password" section, enter your old password and new password (twice) and hit the [Change My Password] button.
Via Web
Note: When the new listserver software was implemented, all existing champ-l subscribers had a password randomly assigned to them.
- Visit the Champ-l info page.
- Enter your e-mail address into the form field at the bottom of the page.
- Hit the [Edit Options] button
- Scroll down to the "Forgotten Your Password?" section.
- Hit the [Email My Password To Me] button.
