Hi Again =)
Well I was a bit in difficult last game session.
The brick of the group throwed the "Bouncing jumper" Against a enemy
Well a quick question: Is it a move throught of the Jumper (so I need
to use the jumper's OCV modified for OCV simulating that he can adjust the
throw of the brick with his weight) or the OCV of the thrower brick ?

Thank ya all =)

Yeah actually that is growing slightly, but other games are around too, the
old wargamers still play, they just play at home, not at stores nor
conventions as much.

The game started in the Northwest and it was huge huge huge here... but its
not any more, there were stores that survived exclusively on the sales of
cards and trade in singles and they have closed one by one. Magic's sales
have dropped, and its presence in conventions has lessened. Its on a long
slow spiral, and take it from a formerly addicted person, the rules change
have alienated more players than it has gained them.

and
>Muds are just primitives of what im talking about.

That seems to be the common wisdom, along with wishful thinking of books
like Dream Park, but the simple fact is that a computer game will never
take the place of people sitting down and enjoying the games. It will make
the games more available to people who want to play but cant get a group
together, and will make the games more comfortable to the general populace
(especially women, in my opinion). But RPGs wil always be face to face and
not replaced by online stuff. Ultima online is a hideous blight on the
face of RPGs in my opinion (as a beta tester) and very very few of the
games sold as 'role playing' are actually so, from the obvious fakes
(Diablo) to clever fakes (Baldur's Gate). Role Playing games by definition
require a GM and no ending, they require interaction with real people, and
have few PCs and lots of NPCs. No 'CRPG' actually fulfills these
requirements presently.

MUDS and MOOS and such are... an interesting start, but exceptionally
annoying in their limited nature to a lot of players, perhaps some day a
system will be created that you can plug information into and do not have
to be a UNIX coder to create worlds with, a system that is not like playing
Tunnels and Trolls' old solo modules, and at that point they will be RPGs.

It's "Thrown Object."

The OCV of the brick throwing the other character would apply.

A file was just sent to the list called 'happy99.exe'. It is a virus. it
attaches itself to normal messages and sends itself out. If you run the
exe it *will* infect your drive! This is not a bullshit hoax!

UNIX and mac users 8should* be okay, Wintel users need to be aware. One
can find info on the web about it and McCaffee has published solutions.

Here is what MacFixIt has to say:

And in other news... Happy99 PC worm
             .
Happy99.exe is a worm that only affects PCs, putting up a
fireworks display on your screen
when run, and thereafter sending out a copy of itself
with every email the user sends. It
seems otherwise harmless. As I understand it, although
the Mac OS is not directly affected
by the virus, you can still receive the worm file as an
email attachment.

An MSNBC article article warns: "Happy99.exe is making
its way around the Internet.
According to Data Fellows Inc., the worm is currently in
the wild in Europe and will likely
spread very quickly to North America. It does not attempt
to destroy files on infected
machines, but it sends e-mails and newsgroup postings
without the victim's knowledge
and could cause network slowdowns or even crash corporate
e-mail servers."

If you have an infected PC, this web page describes what
to do to get rid of worm. (Thanks,

It looks as though this virus may have gotten spread to members of this
list, so here is the information I was sent on it. It looks as though
Filksinger is infected with it, and it attached itself to his message to
the list.

Todd

Ok, this has gotten pretty rampant and I want to pass this along before
it makes it around these lists. There is a trojan.worm virus that is
being passed around via email called Happy99.exe. When played it shows a
fireworks display and then installs itself into your machine. Upon
rebooting, the machine is then infected with the worm virus and any
subsequent news or email postings that you send out, sends out an extra
blank message that contains a copy of the Happy99.exe. If the person who
receives this runs it, then it repeats the process and spreads even
further.

Details on how to remove it if you've run it:

If you haven't rebooted but have run the file already:

1.Go to your windows/system directory and delete ska.exe, ska.dll and
any other variants of those files (I've
seen ska.vxe and ska.vll as well)
   2.Delete the file wsock32.ska
3.Delete the Happy99#.exe files (the # increments for every copy you
have in some email programs)

If you have already rebooted after running the file:

   1.Go to windows/system directory and delete ska.exe and ska.dll
2.Shut down windows and boot to DOS, copy the wsock32.ska file over
your wsock32.dll file (after rebooting, the wsock.ska file becomes the
uncorrupted version)
   3.Remove all Happy99#.exe variant files.

Do not run this file. It is a worm, similar to a virus. Do not open the

See http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/happy99.worm.html.
Unfortunately, I got it from someone I trusted, a computer tech at work, and
the message title indicated that it might have been intentional. It wasn't;
it creates emails with subjects from mail you did send out.

This is all good. One thing I'd like to add, for those who want to simply
find every file with the file extension ".ska" (without quotes):

Go to your Start button, then go to "Find", then "Files or Folders".

Make sure the "Look in" box is pointing at your (C:) drive, then go up to
the "Named" section, and type in:

*.ska

The "*" is a wildcard that tells the computer to search for ANY files with
that file extension.

To remove any Happy99#.exe variant files, do the search with parameters
something like:

Happy#99*.exe

Happy*.exe

*Happy*.exe

And so on... The wild card asterix is really useful in those situations.

If it comes back with "No files found" or something similar, go to Windows
Explorer, click on "View", go to Options (or Folder Options) and then click
on your "View" tab.

Go the section that says "Hidden Files". Check and see if you have a dot
next to a line of text that says: "Show all Files". If you do not. Put one
in there.

Also, in the same area, look for a line of text that says, "Hide File
Extensions for Known File Types". If there is a dot in there, remove it.

All of this will insure that the Find: Files & Folders will be able to
search the entire hard drive and find everything with the file extensions
mentioned below.

Hope this helps!

I don't know if there is an SFX for most versions of Force Wall, but it is a
variation on the "Feedback" Limitation on Force Wall. It is often seen in
Star Trek and other SF shows. Force Wall stays up for long periods of time,
but when you get hit, it still holds, but you start losing power to run it;
your reserves start to drain. If they hit it enough, you eventually lose the
power needed to keep it up. Get more energy, and suddenly you aren't worried
about it; it will hold. If the new energy source is continuos, you need
never worry about it again.

Way I've always done this was to have the thrower roll to hit the hex, and
then have the 'fastball' roll as for a move-through or by as normal.

I wish that damn thing was a joke. It got accidentally sent to me at work
last night, and didn't do anything I could see until I rebooted, and I
didn't find out until this morning. I just installed everything on this
machine a couple of days ago, and haven't updated my anti-virus DAT files.
McAfee didn't see the virus at all.

Designers Notes:
Freezer is probably the most important villain in the Dragonball Z series
(although Piccolo Daimo comes very close). He is mentioned long before he
is ever seen, and manages to wreck more havoc on the Z-fighters than even
Perfect Cell (relatively speaking). The interaction between our heroes
and Freezer on the planet Namek takes up over eight manga volumes and over
40 TV episodes, while the final fight between Freezer and Son Goku goes
one *forever*!

As one can tell, Freezer's name is a pun on well... a freezer. It has
been spelled several ways, including Freeza and Frieza and is pronounced
'Free-zah'. His father is called Cold and in the DBZ movies he has a
brother named 'Kooler' (or Cooler).

Freezer's greatest desire is to rule the universe, his second wish is to
ensure that no one can challenge him for supremacy. To that end, Freezer
employed the Saiyajins to go out and conquer planets for him. But after a
while Freezer decided that the Saiyajins were getting a bit too powerful
and annihilated their home planet.

Freezer finally appears on the planet Nameck (homeworld of Piccolo),
looking for the Nameck dragonballs so he can wish for immortality.
Naturally, he is opposed by a number of the Z-fighters, who have come to
Nameck to find the dragonballs themselves and use them to wish their
friends back to life. In the process trying to find the balls, Freezer
slaughters quite a few Namecks, fights and kills Vegita, fights and kills
Piccolo (or comes very close anyway), and eventually disintegrates
Kulilin. This last step is a major mistake, however, as it causes Son
Goku to snap, his rage allowing him to become a Super-Saiyajin and just
stomp Freezer. In return, Freezer fires of a ki attack that will consume
the planet Nameck, meaning that if he's going to die, Goku is going with
him.

Goku virtually carves up Freezer intro chunks and escapes the dying
planet. Freezer, escapes as well (I have no idea how) and eventually
returns to Earth - rebuilt as a cyborg - to deal with Goku. Unfortunally,
he meets Trunks, who promptly blasts him into so much dust.

A quick note on Freezer's power level: To get a rough idea of how power
Freezer was *supposed* to be consider that fact that he stated his power
rating to be (in whatever units they are using) 530,000. As a quick
comparison, Son Goku was given a rating of around 110,000 after his trip
Nameck during which he had spent a great deal of time training in a
gravity field of around 50 Gs.

Description:
Freezer is about 5'6" tall, with a thin but well-muscled build. His skin
is gray, with black finger nails and lips. Freezer also has smooth purple
plates covering his skull, shoulders, the center of his chest and his
shins. Freezer is lizard-like with a long prehensile tail. His feet
function pretty much like hands and include an opposable thumb.

Powers Notes:
Freezer has a broad array of interesting powers and abilities. His feet
and tail serve as additional hands and he often uses them to gain a
surprise advantage while fighting. His knowledge of martial arts is
extensive, and contains a few moves that are used almost exclusively by
his tail.

Naturally, Freezer commands a whole slew of ki powers. He can increase
his physical prowess by summoning his ki, but this requires some time. He
also can change his shape, and has four different forms he progresses
through while fighting Son Goku and the Z-fighters. Each form is more
powerful than the last, with this write representing his 'final' form.
(Note: this progressive adaption of forms is common in DBZ - Cell, Freezer
and Majin Buu all pull this stunt.)

Freezer's specific ki powers are as follows:
Daichiretsuzan: Freezer makes a slashing motion with his hand and
creates a great rift in the earth. Note that there is no visible energy
beam.
Death Ball: This is a sphere of energy created from a single
fingertip. One fired off it will consume anything in its path. Freezer
uses this to destroy planets. Stopping the Continuous advantage probably
requires someone hit the Death Ball with another ki attack and overwhelm
it.
Freezer Beam: This is a narrow beam of energy launched from a
finger. It can punch through a target with ease.
Ki Blast: Freezer can fire his energy blats from his hands and his
eyes.
Kiaiho: An invisible bolt of force.
Kienzan: This attack is similar Kulilin's trademark energy disc,
that can slash through targets with ease.
Ki Barrier: Freezer's ki barrier takes the form of a silvery sheen
on the body that partially deflects ki attacks.
Psychokinesis: Freezer is seen throwing rocks about
telekinetically and at one point he lifts Kulilin into the air remotely.
Because it isn't a good damage causing power, Freezer tends not to use
this in combat.

Freezer also can fly, leap great distances, sense another's ki energy and
deflect incoming ki attacks.

Disadvantages Notes:
Freezer is primarily defined by his psychological limitations, as the rest
of his disadvantages are self-explanatory. Freezer is very, very
confident in his abilities. He is the toughest being in the universe and
knows it. He can easily defeat anyone he encounters (at least, until he
runs into the Z-fighters) and is more than happy to allow an opponent to
warm up first by not moving and allowing the first few strikes to impact
at full force. He isn't stupid however and will dodge or deflect really
powerful energy blasts. Freezer will kill without a second thought, and
blasts his own troops as easily as he destroys his enemies. He can be
very vengeful, as well, and will hunt down and destroy anyone who crosses
him, harms him or otherwise interferes with his plans. Finally, Freezer
desires nothing more than total domination of the universe and will
eliminate anyone that might be a threat to his goal.
