The Stuff Heroes Are Made Of
Web Directory
- Awakenings - Awakenings
is set on the planet of Coban. Coban is a modern setting, including firearms,
telephones, global international politics, and most other accoutrements of
spy-novel and horror thrillers. However. Coban has certain limitations and
extensions to provide its own unique twists and turns. The characters are
agents of the Coban League Investigative Bureau, Paranormal Activities Division(LIB
PAD)
- Captain Safety - The main
objective is to get some photos of you and your friends in different super
hero outfits in various different poses, which you can send through to Captain
Safety to put up with various captions, hence making you FAMOUS, POPULAR and
INCREADIBLE! You can submit your own caption if you wish. (John's note:
Not Hero System, or really even role playing related, but definitely weird)
- CyberHero 2020
- Welcome to the home of CyberHero 2020, my CyberHero game based in the CyberPunk
2020 Setting.
- Delirium
Tremens -
Tales Of The Weird West... (A Vieux Carré campaign)
- Gothic Champions
- Welcome to my latest experiment, Gothic Champions. It is my attempt to fuse
the World of Darkness setting, one of vampires, werewolves, and mages into
a world where some humans are born with mutant abilities like so many comic
books chronicle. How would the two interact as they became aware of each other?
Would the Kindred fight over the new "resources?"
- Immortal
Hero - This is an attempt to replicate the Immortals from the Highlander
movies and television series in the Hero System. If you have any comments
or things that you think should be changed let me know, and please be gentle.
- Mega Tokyo One
- This game is heavily influenced by the cyber and animé genre and draws extensively
from the Kazei 5 Champions electronic book by Hero Games. This book, in turn,
draws greatly from Masamune Shirow’s works such as Appleseed and Ghost in
the Shell, as well as many other great cyber-animé books, movies, and manga.
- Ranma Hero Page - Here is
information on a campaign based on Ranma 1/2, the popular Japanese manga series
by Rumiko Takahashi.
- Savage
Earth - Savage Earth is a role-playing game using the Hero System rules.
It is a setting of fabulous lost technology living alongside high magic and
barbaric splendor.
- Sengoku
Campaign - This page was designed as a resource for my ongoing Hero System
based role playing game - Sengoku. Sengoku is set in medieval japan - the
game started in the winter of 1542. There's information in Hero gaming format
on medieval Japan - characters, weapons, armour and so on. I have put up my
house rules, including a section of new rules for martial arts which are particularly
suited to building superheroic martial arts characters. There's a bunch of
adventures, which string together to make an epic campaign ranging over Japan,
Korea and China. I've included some of the maps I've used for countries, as
well as some for castles, temples, villages and houses. Perhaps most interestingly,
there's a fairly substantial chunk of fiction written about the characters,
which provides a view of the adventures from the player's point of view.
I've matched this with a sort of "post-game history" of how the
adventures unfolded, showing the same adventures from the GM's point of view,
and filling in a few details to help make the fiction coherent. Finally, there's
a section on running these adventures from a GM's point of view.
- Sengoku
- I have had a love affair with medieval and renaissance Japan ever since
I first saw Shogun on TV back in 1981. I have run several games set in either
Japan or oriental settings within other fantasy worlds. I had been fiddling
around with the idea of getting my Japanese game back off the ground for ages
and quite fortuitously discovered Mark Doherty's Sengoku Campaign on the internet.
Well, if Mark was fool enough to put all that information on the net then
who was I to look a gift horse in the mouth - so I am running a version of
his fantastic campaign. Keep an eye on this page because it promises to be
a great campaign.
- Vieux
Carré:
San Antonio - San Antonio is a haunted city. From the Comanche raids
that were common in its early years to the urban warfare of the gangs that
infest its streets today, the River City's history is soaked in blood.
At night, the restless spirits of the murdered and forgotten bear mute
witness to the misdeeds of the living. Corruption abounds in its institutions,
and those charged with protecting its citizens are often simply part of
the problem. At the top of the heap are the living ghosts that pull the
strings, anonymously managing vast criminal empires from the shadows. The
worst of these have lived too long and done too much evil. They have become
more like devils than mortal men.
- Wasteland
Hero - A full blown post-apocalypse (Cyber HEROesque) Supplement
for the HERO system.
- Western
Hero - Another game that I would love to get started again. I love the
Western genre and think that Hero Game's Western Hero is probably their best
supplement ever. Here are some characters and some equipment for life on the
range.
- Whispers Campaign
- A psychic/espionage game loosely based on the style of theTV show (and now,
the movie) Mission Impossible.
- Wild Martial Arts
Campaign - Set in moden day Kamakura, Japan; the capaign features the
story of four sudents atending the Tennoji school for martial arts. The campaign
setting is Ranmaesque with a bit of Japanese mysticism thrown in for thrills.

WuxiaHero - The Xia...The Wandering Warrior of the Chinese Jiang-Hu Martial Arts World...A ruthless warrior trying to make his mark in life, or a hopeless romantic wanderer trying to find fun and adventure
