Big Barda, the wife of Scott (Mr. Miracle) Free, is a product of Granny Goodness's Home for Orphaned Youths on Apokolips, where the motto is "Die For Darkseid" - Darkseid being the planet's ruler. Barda is a quick-tempered, passionate, stubborn, emotion-driven, and out-spoken woman with a tendancy to strike first and ask questions later.
