Amalgam - A campaign
based upon a merging of the DC Universe and Marvel Universe (not as it appeared
in the Amalgam books with characters merging though).
Arclight
- A number of people who had been born during the period of atomic testing
in the western United States during the 1950's were examined by the Advanced
Research Consortium. The doctors of ARC discovered that they possessed certain
mutations which could be enhanced to provide the subjects with super-powers.
Granted a charter and police powers from the city of Atlanta in 1994, it is
ARCLight's duty to put down the criminal element whenever it rears its ugly
head.
Baltimore Sunrise
- Superheroic Role-Playing in Charm City. This campaign features a group of
inexperienced heroes coming into an age in Baltimore.
The Before Breakfast
Universe - Before Breakfast is the colloquial name for a Champions universe
created by the ECNG. The world is named for the first campaign set in it:
one centered around Before Breakfast, Incorporated, a company of paranormals
who realized they could make money from their powers. They also formed a traditional
masked hero group, the Avant Guard, so they could do pro bono work.
The Broadsword Champions
- Homepage for three different Champions campaigns. Includes house rules
used in all three campaigns.
The Brotherhood
of Justice - This campaign was one of the best gaming experiences
I've ever had. The PC's developed in fascinating ways over the years, and
the NPC's took on lives of their own. As my friends and I were reconstructing
our memories I figured I'd take the adventure accounts, scan in some of my
old materials, and make a Web site out of it.
Canadian Shield - Canadian Shield is a super heroic campaign, featuring Canada’s most powerful and respected super hero team. Canadian Shield are considered part of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, though they maintain a much higher status. They are Canada’s super hero team.
Sentra
City - In the fictional city of Sentra, located somewhere in the
United States, the day after tomorrow.
The Centurions Data Base
- The Centurions are a group of Enhanced Beings that have banded together
to fight evil in all its forms under the enigmatic Leader. Numbering One hundred
members around the world, with nine main bases in major cities, and one on
the moon, plus a number of independent members. The United Nations have granted
each member world wide police powers, and helps provide funding. The Centurions
are answerable to the United Nations but are not controlled by them.
The Champions of Justice
- This is a work in progress that originally started on the San Angelo: City
of Heroes mailing list. The suggestion popped up that list members develop
an amalgam world, combining the Champions superhero team from 4th edition
Champions (aka the Big Blue Book or BBB) and the Justice Foundation superhero
team from San Angelo.
The
Champions of San Diego - Most visitors are probably looking for new villains
or criminal groups. Others are looking for plot-lines or stories to add to
their campaign and still others may be looking for character or power ideas.
I hope you find all this here. This site is primarily set up for the players
in the current game. Updates and history are posted after each game and we
find it valuable to refresh ourselves when we can only play once every few
weeks. Each game is presented in one or two comic book type summaries that
include the heroes, villains, game title and an overview of the action.
Champions: The
Masquerade - Information site on ongoing Champions game, and
for a soon-to-be started Play-By-E-Mail game set in the same universe. Alsouseful
for anyone interested in playing in any of the Champions/Hero eventsbeing
run by me at CastleCon or EveCon.
Champions:
Mythic Heroes - This is a collection of notes for the Champions roleplaying
game (RPG). This site is focussed on the genre of alternative superhero comics,
especially those of a mythic/mystical bent, inspired by comics such as Swamp
Thing, Sandman, Astro City, Hellblazer, Mage, and The Books of Magic.
ConTinuum - Home
of Heroes - The world of ConTinuum is not all that different from the
one we live in today. The planet is populated with people and places that
are familiar rather than fantastic, and speculation and superbeings are the
stuff of Saturday morning science fiction. That is, until a few short months
ago. Since then, six extraordinary individuals have emerged, each exhibiting
abilities previously thought relegated to overactive imaginations. Acting
as protectors of their home cities, these half-dozen heroes are the first
true superheroes on this earth!
The Crusaders:
The World's Most Powerful Super-Hero Group! - Welcome to the official
home page of the world's foremost super-hero team, The Crusaders! You've
thrilled to their exploits in the newspapers, cheered for them on television,
and exulted alongside them in pulp comics, but this is the only place you
can discover the real story of these amazing crime-fighters!
Eric Smiths's Champions
Page - This site contains all published information for my Savage Foundation
campaign, an attempt to mix pulp and powers in the modern day. It will ultimately
also contain write-ups of some pulp characters and notes on pulp style campaigning.
D'Grave's
Champions Page - Here you will find details on a champions campaign in
which i play a hero called D'Grave. You will find details about the game,
the super-hero group, "The Wombat and The Other Guys, with a special guest
appearance by the Menopausal Wonder", character stats (hopefully for the villians
too if the GM will cooperate) and a story line.
Dark Design
- Dark Design is a campaign for the Champions roleplaying game. It has been
running regularly since February of 1998. Many people have played the game
over the last two years, and there have been several different teams that
have been part of the campaign. This website is devoted to the players who
have been part of the game, and to the game itself.
Defenders Inc.
- This is a web page dedicated to the current campaign of Defenders Inc. A
hero group in Northern Virginia.
The Eternal Quest - The home
of Thom Kulesa's Champions campaign 'The Task Force'.
Fifth City -
A Champions Campaign with a unified origins theme.
Fistfull
of Heroes - Hi, this is the site for my Champions Campaign. The campaign
started out on February 28th of 1998 and is sill going today. My campaign
is takes place in New Orleans. The setting is that of a high powered campaign.
Foundation Chronicles -
This sourcebook documents some of the people, places and things found in the world of the Wardens Chronicles,
a role-playing game campaign featuring characters with "super-powers" or in the parlance of the campaign, paranormals.
The Guardians of Chicago -
After about two months of moving to Chicago from the suburbs, I realized that
despite being within a half-mile of several of my friends, unless we made
concrete plans to get together, we wouldn't see each other. Since three of
the four people who lived nearby are gamers, I decided that, despite getting
rid of most of my gaming stuff before my move, I would run a Champions campaign.
Generation Hero Campaign
- The Generation Hero Campaign is a project that I've been putting together
for a very, very long time. It basically deals with the idea of taking a Champions
Super Hero campaign from 1941 all the way through the decades until 2040.
I would basically be running mini-campiagns (20-30 episodes depending on how
much adventure fodder I can come up with) for each decade or until everybody
gets tired of it. I will be building up the campaign background infromation
decade by decade as the game progresses or as I gather more information so
please stop by and let me know what you think.
Geoff's Home Page - This
is the unofficial site of the Koln Campaign being run by Wayne Shaw.
Golden Guardians
- A set of pages devoted to my champions campaigns both the current and past
ones.
Golden Hawks Universe
- Shelley Mactyre's online Champions resources for her many and varied campaigns,
plus "other stuff". (John's note: Shelley
has a lot of good stuff on her site, which is why there are several links
to varies parts of her site in these lists. Go take a look.)
The
Groggighatten Defenders - A Champions (tm) campaign that I have been running
for... oh... a few months now. The campaign is essentially a comedic one,
with direly over the top villains clashing with underachieving and overtly
destructive superheroes. Justice, greed or money does not motivate these people.
They are just after a little bit of recognition. Is that too much to ask?
Hellenback
- Include locations descriptions, PCs both from my weekly game (on hiatus)
and from the convention games I've run, plot synopses, handouts, maps, and
just general information. The content is text heavy and graphics light, largely
due to technological limitations, but also because I'm a minimalist at heart.
HH Productions
- On this page you will find original super hero fiction and graphics based
on our long running Champions campaign. For those unaware of what Champions
is all about, it is a Super Hero Role Playing Game created by Hero Games.
This campaign began way back in 1983 and is primarily set in the Champions
Universe. So, you'll find VIPER, Eurostar, and Dr. Destroyer, among many others,
on this page. On top of that we 'borrowed' some of our more favorite characters
from the comic books of that time. Rounding out the campaign, there were many
original creations.
Hudson
City Heroes - The Hudson City campaign was born as the result of the realization
that any of our Atlanta heroes could pretty much take on the world and win.
We were looking for a new way of adventuring, where a character didn't have
an arsenal of powers at his disposal, but had to rely on teammates to cover
his weaknesses.
Hudson City High Campaign
- This site will have information about my new face to face game set in Hudson
City and featuring 250 point teenaged characters. It's set in the Golden Hawks
Universe (though it was tempting to think about starting something new). The
kids are students at Langley High, and are coincidentally all juniors, sharing
one AP Biology class.
Hudson City Map
Works -Location maps for modern era role playing games. Browse, download,
print, add NPCs, and have fun. And the maps are free.
Hudson Hawks - The Hudson Hawks
emerged as a team in the summer of 1995 in Hudson City, New Jersey. They quickly
forged themselves into an effective team, using state of the art commercial
technology in order to maintain close contact with one another. The founding
members of the team were Firehawk, a woman with the ability to manipulate
fire; Olympian, a very adaptable and adept strong man; and Orion, a PRIMUS
Intelligence operative who discovered an alien artifact of incredible power
while camping. They were soon joined by Jade, a journalist who blew the lid
off of the San Francisco VIPER Net on live CNN feed.
J.P.'s
Champs Campaign Setting - If you read comic books, you know it takes more
then just a cape and weird alien super-powers to tell a good story. Hopefully,
I've put together enough story elements to tell a good tale in the course
of my Champions games.
Justice Machine Home
Page - The Justice Machine is a superhero team based in Atlanta, Georgia
in the year 2004 in a superhero campaign using the Champions role-playing
game rules.
The
Kestrel Universe is the campaign universe run by Christopher Taylor
in Champions games. In this universe, the term "Potent" frequently,
it is the press and government's term for 'super', 'paranormal', or 'supranormal'-
in other words, the good and bad guys of the campaign. First listed here
is a chart of all the significant players and members of the Kestrel Universe,
the groups, individuals, and organizations that are unique to it.
(K)Earth - The MEAN STREETS
Gaming Center - Here you will find all of the information you need for
keeping up to date with the campaign, the rules changes, the characters, the
world events and updates on the latest adventures.
Lemming's
Champions Campaign - Superpowers were unheard of until early 1942 when an
Allied commando team raided a secret Nazi laboratory. They destroyed the
lab, but they were exposed to a mutagen. Apparently it was virulent for it
to spread to a flight crew and to certain individuals near their base.
Axis was shown to have some supers in the upcoming months.
Liberty City - Liberty
City is a fictional East Coast city designed to be used as a role-playing
game supplement for Silver Age Sentinels and Champions.
Matrix
Campaign - Two Canadian based Champions campaign: The Calgary Team and
the Montreal Team.
The Metaverse Campaign
Web Site - This is the Metaverse, as such it has been around
since 1976 when I first started drawing my own characters for fun. The Metaverse
is a Super-Hero roleplaying campaign that I have been running more or less
continuously Since I was "exposed" to gaming in 1980 in college.
My universe includes a fantasy campaign and a science fiction campaign that
take place about 1000 years after the super-hero game in the same universe.
New Capitol City Defenders Universe
- This is the web page of the New Capitol City Defenders (or the NCCD as we
call them). It is intended for the players of that group, but if you've stumbled
across it, feel free to look around. The page should be updated weekly to
coincide with our adventuring schedule.
Nexus
- High Powered Heroes - Welcome to the Nexus: A HERO Games Resource page.
With hero files ( freeware and shareware ), info, house rules, links and more,
not to mention, it's the home page for NEXUS, a very high powered superteam
defending Central City N.Y. and the World.
The
Night Watchmen - A Dark Champions, vigilantes, campaign set in Atlanta,
GA.
Original
Gangster Troubleshooters - The Troubleshooters are a (slightly weird)
"four color" scientifically oriented superhero team. The team recently
spun off from the Bernhard Swift Instituite. The Troubleshooters support FBI's
unit working paranormal and metahuman crimes technically and in other ways
as they request.
OVERWATCH
UK - Overwatch UK is a roleplaying campaign about an officially-sanctioned
team of superheroes operating in present-day Britain. The characters are built
using Hero Games' Champions rules system (4th Edition - no Fuzion rubbish
here), but all the background detail and supporting cast are original.
Pete's Wednesday Night
Super Hero Game - The nuts and bolts of the game are fairly simple, the
players will end up being a US government hero team in a world where "mutants"
sprang up in the 1970's. All the PCs had to be mutants built on 100 points
with no upper limit in disadvantages.
Plague Rat's Champions
Page - This group has changed its name fairly frequently over the years.
And due to disagreements among the members different names are occasionally
given at the same time. Examples include: The Goodfellas, The HMD Organization,
(Humans Must DIE!), The Men of Milk, Dr. Feelgood and his Therapy Group, and
The Furry Friends to name a few. In the public eye however, they are usually
just called the Misfits or "That pack of nutballs".
Project Pegasus -
Statement of purpose: This website is dedicated to the Role-Playing Game Champions/Champions
- New Millenium and the related Fuzion/Hero 4th Edition game systems. This
site is mainly UK based but anyone can contribute.
Project Starcross
- A semi-secret United Nations Security Council project, Project STARCROSS
was designed to gather intelligence about other worlds, other dimensions,
and other times. It's mission is to detect and counter any threat to Earth
from any non-conventional source. Often these threats are located offworld
but many also manifest right here on "our" Earth.
Protectors
Campaign - The Protectors are an offical arm of PRIMUS, operating as a
paranormal emergency response team. Like PRIMUS itself, it is primarily a
strike force, but has also been called upon for emergency relief and scientific
investigation. As with the original team, the membership has varied considerably
(and has even spawned a branch of the team on the west coast), but it remains
true to the ideals set out by the original founders: to protect the public,
defending it from any threat, paranormal or otherwise.
Provisional Champions - A utilitarian collection of pages, hosting a small
Champions game with several house rules.
Quantum Universe
- This is a world much like our own, but with some major changes. The most
obvious change is the presence of people superpowers. The metahumans, called
Harbingers, have abilities that almost defy the imagination. But Harbingers
aren't the only ones who can do fantastical things. Magic has reappeared in
the world, and there really is life out there among the stars....
Robert
West's Emerging Powers Campaign - This campaign is an "emerging
powers" superheroic campaign, using the Champions genre of the Hero System
rules.
Sentra
City - In the fictional city of Sentra, located somewhere in the
United States, the day after tomorrow.
Shadow Watch -
The Shadow Watch Universe is a world of dark conspiracies, ancient magic and
those crazed by the search of power. Where things in the dark do exist, and
all that stands between us and them are a handful of heroes.
St.
Augustine - City of Harbingers - This site is the home page for the
fictional city that is the center of all my Hero System games. It contains
a description of the city, a map, people in the city, and notes on campaigns
currently being run in it.
Star Trek: Future
Champions - Star Trek: Future Champions (or STFC) is a futuristic superheroic
game set in the Star Trek universe. The background history is taken from the
DC Comics history up until present day. All future history is being taken
from the Star Trek television shows and movies. Player characters are generated
using the Champions 4th Edition Rules and are suggested to have some tie to
either Star Trek or DC Comics.
Strikeforce
Morituri - This is a description of a setting for the Champions role-playing
game based on Marvel Comics' Strikeforce Morituri comic.
Team
Justice - The "Team Justice" Champions campaign was initially
set up and GMed by Bob Iwan. It was set in an "X-Men" kind of universe,
a dark n' gritty world in which the public mistrusts superheroes and absolutely
hates those whose powers are inborn (mutants). Team Justice was a group of
outlaws fighting evil government and corporate plots, based in the Twin Cities.
Vieux
Carré Team-Ups - A play-by-email superhero roleplaying game
that started out as a kind of Marvel Team-Ups for characters in the Vieux
Carré Universe, but has evolved into its own campaign in the Windy
City that's been running continuously since June, 1999.
Vigilance
- Protecting the planet is a dirty job but somebodys got to do it.
Wardens Chronicles -
The adventures of the Alcatraz Foundation Wardens. A role-playing game campaign resource featuring characters
with super-powers or as they are commonly known as in the campaign world, paranormals.
WestGuard - WestGuard, Inc.
is a nonprofit agency that has been keeping Los Angeles and the world safe since 1993.
The Wild Hunt
Home Page - Dedicated to all the members of the Wild Hunt, past, present
and future. Mainly Champions with occasional trips into Fantasy Hero.
The World of the 400 - The World
of the 400 is the background for two currently running Champions campaigns.
It's modern day earth, with the difference that there are about 400 significant
superbeings on Earth; distributed evenly about 1 for every 10 million population
except that the U.S. has twice as many as it should have and China appears
to have none so far as anybody knows.
Worlds of Champions
- Worlds of Champions is devoted to my Champions campaigns ongoing and otherwise.
Includes two timelines and adventure descriptions from my current campaign
(Champions of the 1960s).
WW II
Super Heroes - This section contains supplements I wrote for the Hero
System™ role-playing game. I wanted my setting to be consistent and (somewhat)
historical, so I made up several pages worth of notes.
